Improving communication and understanding for stronger bonds and calmer days of less yelling, confusion and frustration.

Think of this workbook as a mini course that will equip you with the knowledge and tools to feel confident in your parenting choices and get the results you are seeking.

If you have ever felt any of the following….

  • Like you are speaking a different language to your child, and you don’t know how to communicate for them to truly hear you.

  • Like you knew exactly how to parent your first child, but the next one is not responding to the same methods.

  • You are constantly clashing with their personality and getting into power struggles.

  • Feel a disconnect, and don’t know how to bridge the gap.

  • Like the way you were parented is impacting the way you are parenting your child.

  • Like you try to “fix” their struggles but end up making them more frustrated and angry.

  • Like you want to improve your parent-child bond (even if you feel like it’s off to a good start).

If you answered “Yes” to any of these, then you are not alone, and this workbook will help you.

You will go from feeling overwhelmed, confused, or a little lost in your parenting, to feeling confident in understanding your child, and the ways you can improve your parent-child communication for better days ahead.

Here’s what’s inside…

250+ pages of guidance.

When it comes to parenting, a little knowledge goes a long way. The first part of this book will equip you with the knowledge you need to understand the many temperament traits that may be influencing your child’s behaviour.

This vital information will help you to understand your child for who they truly are, and set you up for an individualised parenting approach. Unlike other “off the shelf” parenting guides, our book was designed to help you understand your child as an individual.

It’s filled with easy to follow, printer friendly worksheets and activities that take a deep dive into your child’s world, and the way your parenting style influences your communication.

We offer practical suggestions for every child, guiding you in the way a “one-on-one” coach would. We equip you with step-by-step de-escalation strategies for tantrums and meltdowns, and provide real world examples to build upon.

Plus, it comes with a bonus chapter of hours of fun “light hearted” bonding activities to fill up your child’s connection cup. Because we know, a full cup leads to happier, more well-regulated child.

So what makes this book different to the rest?

This book was designed to be like your personal one-on-one parenting coach.

It goes beyond the generic, informative style parenting books, by encouraging parents to explore their children’s habits, behaviours and unique characteristics, in conjunction with their own parenting style.

It’s over 250 pages of thoughtful content that won’t disappoint.

This revolutionary exploratory style workbook will leave you feeling….

  • Like you finally understand how to speak your child’s language.

  • Confident in how to approach each individual child in your home, based upon their own needs.

  • Relieved that you have a simple step by step plan to de-escalate frustration and meltdowns.

  • Calm, content and happy with your less chaotic home environment.

  • Deeply connected to your child.

  • Like the way you were parented is no longer a factor in how you choose to parent.

The creator behind the book…

Hi, I’m Amber

Creator of The bonding book. I am a mother of 3, wife, designer, and certified positive parenting coach.

I created this download as a way to help parents like me on their journey of connection with their children. When our children feel connected, the meltdowns get shorter, the pushbacks stop and the general overwhelm starts to deminish.

I have always been a firm believer in the importance of establishing a positive and grounded connection with the little humans we are blessed to be raising.

That being said, I’m no “sanctamummy”, I am well aware that life comes with its ups, downs and everything in between!

When it comes to parenting, I believe that no family will ever get it completely right - all of the time. As humans, we are not perfect, and no one parent (or guardian) can walk through this journey, day after day and not make mistakes, or feel the heaviness of parental guilt we all experience from time to time - and that’s ok. What’s important is that we keep learning, keep striving, and keep building our bond.

There is a quote, by L.R Knost that says:

“We are all imperfect parents, and that’s ok. Tiny humans need connection and not perfection”.

To me, this resonates deeply. In order to build upon my own connection with my kid’s, it was important to me to openly look at my own parenting style, the influences I sub-consciously brought into parenting, and how that influenced the way I parented each child.

Furthermore, What I have learnt as a mother, is that every child is different, and have their own unique ways of expressing themselves and dealing with the world around them. When we learn to understand each child for who they are; speaking “their language” and parenting them, becomes a much smoother process.

I was able to fill each child’s connection cup up in the way they needed as individuals, which became a huge turning point in my parenting journey, and also our daily family battles.

When our kids grow up, they aren’t going to remember every little thing we did right, or every argument we might have had trying to get them out of the door on time.

They are however going to take through life the bond we built through those ups and downs. They will take into adulthood how we made them feel when they were down, how we picked them up, and how we showed them that we loved them, for who they are as people.

In order to do that though, we need to focus on connection. We can’t build connection, if we don’t first have understanding, and a sense of empathy. The Bonding Book is my solution to bridge this gap. My aim is to reach parents far and wide who are like me. Well aware that we are not perfect, but want to do better, learn more, and provide their children with the positive foundation they deserve.
